RIYADH: Riyadh and Jeddah have experienced improvements in the Global Liveability Index, an annual report compiled by the Economist Group’s Economic Intelligence Unit.

The rankings, based on stability, culture and environment, education, healthcare, and infrastructure, evaluated 140 cities worldwide.

Riyadh has moved up three places to reach the 103rd position, while Jeddah has advanced four places to secure the 107th position compared to the previous year.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the government has initiated the Quality of Life Program, aiming to create an environment conducive to the development and support of new lifestyle options in the Kingdom.

The program aspires to elevate Saudi cities among the world’s top 100 on various indexes by 2030, enhancing the quality of life for citizens, residents, visitors, and tourists through expanded opportunities for cultural, entertainment, and sports activities.
